How we work

Six stages. No fluff.

Discovery to launch - without the 12-week proposals, the 47-page Statements of Work, or the 'discovery phase' that mysteriously lasts a month. AI raised the floor for what's possible. Our process raised the ceiling for what's expected.

Every project follows the same six stages. The fast ones ship in weeks. The big ones take longer. The bad ones never start - and we'll tell you on the discovery call which one yours is.

01

Discovery

A 30-minute call. Three questions: where are you now, where are you trying to go, and what does winning actually look like? We do the listening. You do the talking. By the end we know whether we're the right team - and so do you.

The promise: No deck. No pitch. No "next step" call to upsell you a retainer for work you don't need. Just a written summary within 24 hours and a clear recommendation.
02

Creative meeting

Three directions, not one. We bring moodboards, reference sites, and the rationale behind each. You pick what feels right. We refine. Most agencies show you a single mockup and pray you love it. We assume you won't - and give you the choice.

The promise: Brand guidelines, type system, colour palette, photography direction - agreed on a video call, captured in a one-pager you can share with the rest of your team. Not a 60-page PDF nobody reads.
03

UX/UI design

Mobile-first because 85% of your customers meet you there first. Every page, every state, every interaction in Figma before development starts. You click through a real prototype, not stare at a flat image. Feedback in-line, not in a 20-email thread.

The promise: WCAG AA accessibility baked in from the wireframe - not bolted on after launch when an audit fails.
04

Content

The reason most launches slip: the copy isn't written and the imagery isn't ready. We own this. Conversion copy, art-direction, photography sourcing, SEO meta - the full package. AI helps speed it up. Humans make sure it sounds like your brand, not a chatbot.

The promise: Brand voice + tone defined in stage 02, applied to every page in stage 04. Your CMS launches with real copy and real images. Not Lorem ipsum and stock placeholders.
05

Build & test

Clean code, no bloat. Lighthouse 90+ across every page on day one - not as an aspirational target but as a non-negotiable. Cross-browser, cross-device, real-user QA. You get a private staging URL from week one - poke at it, share it with your team, break it. Better us than your customers.

The promise: Forms tested end-to-end including the CRM ping. Analytics tags verified live. 301 map for every old URL. Sub-second time-to-interactive on the homepage. If we ship anything below that bar, we fix it before launch.
06

Launch

A scheduled cutover, not a hope-and-pray push. Quiet window for your business. Cache purged, sitemap submitted to Google and Bing, every redirect smoke-tested. 30 days of bug-fix cover at no cost. Monthly performance report. Annual hosting and SSL handled.

The promise: Go-live happens in under an hour. Rollback is one click if anything blows up. We're on the call when it happens.

After launch - when a retainer actually makes sense

We don't push retainers. We sell them when there's real work that moves your needle - and we'll tell you when there isn't.

Most of our long-term clients keep us on for one (or several) of these:

  • SEO & organic growth - technical audits, content strategy, keyword research, on-page work, backlink earning. Reviewed monthly against pipeline + revenue, not just rankings.
  • Paid media - Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn campaigns, creative testing, conversion tracking. Managed by the team that built your site, so it's all wired up properly.
  • Design retainers - ongoing brand work: social creative, ad design, packaging, email templates, presentation decks. The same designer who built your site keeps your brand consistent everywhere it shows up.
  • Conversion optimisation (CRO) - quarterly A/B tests, journey audits, funnel improvements. We measure in revenue per visitor, not page-views.
  • Print & production - via the Apprintable group: brochures, packaging, trade marketing, event print, all briefed by the same designer who built your site.
  • Site maintenance + monitoring - hosting, security, uptime, Core Web Vitals tracking, content updates. The boring-but-essential layer most agencies upcharge as "premium support".

What we don't sell: retainers for "ongoing strategy meetings", "monthly check-ins", or hours that fill a contract. If we're billing you, there's an output you can point at. And if you want something we haven't listed and you're prepared to fund it, we'll figure it out.

Backed by an ecosystem

Project Click sits inside the Apprintable group. Your website goes live - and the same team handles the print collateral, brand merchandise, packaging, event signage, and trade marketing material that the rest of your launch needs. Most web agencies hand you off to a printer they've never spoken to. We hand it to the people in the next room.

This is the wedge: one designer briefs your website, your brand guidelines, your business cards and your event banner - and they all match because the same person made them.

The old agency playbook is dead.

Three-month timelines, 47-page proposals, hours billed for "monthly check-ins". AI raised the floor - your website needs to raise the ceiling. We take on around 20 brands a year that are ready to play that game.
